Soil Data and Analysis Tools

NPS Soil Tool for ArcGIS

The Soil Resources Program at Colorado State University is a broad collaboration between the NPS, NRCS, and our department at CSU.

Soil Data Viewer

Soil Data Viewer is a tool built as an extension to ArcMap that allows a user to create soil-based thematic maps. The application can also be run independent of ArcMap, but output is then limited to a tabular report.

Ecological Site Information System (ESIS)

ESIS is the NRCS repository for ecological site descriptions and for information associated with the collection of forestland and rangeland plot data. ESIS is organized into two applications and associated databases; the Ecological Site Description (ESD) application and the Ecological Site Inventory (ESI) application.
